Tisha Jack has an eventful career based in Trinidad. During Tisha’s ten years of multifaceted experience in event management, she has moved from working as part of in-house teams to being a consultant who specializes in event management. In this podcast, Tisha takes us through her journey from solo entrepreneurship to business owner of a growing company.
Tisha explains how she expanded her company, the essentials of hiring excellent support staff and the importance of training them. As the Director of Events & Travel at her own company – TCJ Management Co. and under her first subsidiary TCJ Events – she helps brands like Samsung, Courts, Beacon Insurance, SuperPharm, Prestige Holdings, and Starbucks.
Through carefully calculated logistics and event branding, Tisha creates lasting impressions that drive clients’ objectives. She also manages private celebrations like weddings, anniversaries, and parties, and – as a certified travel agent – helps people to plan memorable honeymoons and vacations via her second subsidiary TCJ Travel.
Before starting TCJ Events, in January 2016, Tisha spent five years at the Telecommunication Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT). At TSTT, she produced signature events like concert series and product launches for Samsung, BLU, and Huawei. Retail branding, merchandising, and special marketing projects were also a core part of her portfolio.
Prior to this, as Events Coordinator at the Tourism Development Company, she helped to manage international events like:
- The Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Investment Conference
- Florida Caribbean Cruise Conference
- and the Summit of the Americas
A graduate of Surrey University (UK), Tisha holds an MSc (Distinction) in International Event Management. She also holds a BSc in Hotel Management from the University of the West Indies. When she’s not managing events or making travel plans, you can find her giving pro-bono talks to aspiring event professionals, and finding inspiration in the outdoors.
